Gifting handmade, done right

Handmade pots make good gifts, with one catch: they run on the kiln's schedule, not the calendar's. A few notes to make gifting from the studio easy.

Order earlier than you think. We fire about once a month, and when a piece sells out it comes back in the next run, not the next day. For the holidays, we open preorders in the fall so the first orders ship before December.

Tell the recipient it is one of one. Every piece varies in speckle and glaze break, and people enjoy knowing theirs is the only one like it. If you want a set that matches closely, say so in the order note and we'll pull from the same run.

Pick the glaze for the person. Fog white suits someone who likes a clean, bright table. Speckled buff suits someone who drinks a lot of coffee and doesn't want to see the rings. A Ridge vase is a safe bet for anyone who brings home flowers.

We can ship straight to the recipient with a handwritten note and no prices on the packing slip. Every box goes out packed to survive the trip, and breakage is replaced free. If it isn't quite right, returns are open for 30 days, as long as the piece comes back unbroken.
